Members of the Athens community are invited to attend a reception honoring the UGA Special Collections Library exhibit of the Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation tomorrow afternoon. The “Saving Athens: Celebrating 50 Years of the ACHF exhibit is on display in the rotunda of the Richard B. Russell building Special Collections Libraries.
It examines the history of the Athens nonprofit which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. It is on display through August 25th, and focuses on the local organization’s efforts to protect and preserve the physical history of Athens. The reception is Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm and is free and open to the public. For more information, call 706-542-7123.
