Area Students Heading Back to School

Thousands of area students are heading back to school this week and next. Oconee and Barrow county schools start this Wednesday. Jackson, Madison, and Oglethorpe counties start Friday, August 4th.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is urging parents to let their children ride the bus. The system has added two new bus routes due to an increase in the number of students.

The first day of school for Clarke County students is next week, Wednesday, August 9th. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is urging parents to let their children ride the bus. The system has added two new bus routes due to an increase in the number of students.

The district will host open houses for elementary and middle schools Monday, August 7th.  Clarke County has a list of school supplies needed, back to school events, uniform dress guidelines and other information available on its website at www.clark.k12.ga.us.
