'Dine Out Do Good' for Oconee Area Resource Council

The Oconee Area Resource Council is urging residents and others to come out in support of its upcoming Dine Out event.

The nonprofit is holding its 10 annual ‘Dine Out Do Good’ this month. Those interested in helping are asked to visit restaurants with bright green posters and balloons in the windows on Tuesday, August 15th. Marketing Coordinator Rachel Marshall says the organization will receive a percentage of the evening’s proceeds from participating restaurants.

“What we really want people to know is that there are people in Oconee that have a need,” according to Marshall.  “There are children out there that aren’t sure where their next meal is going to come from and we’re here to close that gap and make sure that the children in our community are getting everything that they need.”

The organization supports Food for Kids and the Oconee Mentor Program.
