Athens Police Investigating Home Invasion

The Athens Police Department is investigating a home invasion in Winterville. According to a news release, Officers were called to the scene at Hicks Mobile Home park off Winterville Road, the victim told police that 40-year old Victoria Magnusen, a female acquaintance of his, to whom he’s paid for sexual favors in the past, knocked on his door. He said Magnusen told him she needed money and wanted to have sex with him. He denied her request and began to leave his residence.

When the victim opened his front door, two men were on his front porch. Both were wearing masks and one was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. The entered the home and told the victim to lie down on the floor and to keep his dog quiet. The men took about $150 and two cell phones. He told police Magnusen was walking around the home with the men as they robbed him, leading him to believe that she was involved. She was located about two hours later. She is currently in the Clarke County Jail on a felony bench warrant as officers continue to investigate her involvement and ID the males who were involved.
