The Athens-Clarke County Library will be hosting a series of programs to prepare students and parents for the upcoming school year, which starts this Wednesday and will continue through mid-September. The courses will include early care and learning strategies to underage drinking prevention programs.
The programs are being sponsored by the dropout prevention organization, Family Connection-Communities In Schools of Athens. FC-CIS’s mission is to create and maintain a culturally diverse community partnership that focuses on the whole family.
“All Athens residents are invited to learn about the broad wealth of information and services offered by the Athens-Clarke County Extension at this month’s Interagency and Community meeting,” said Tim Johnson, FC-CIS’s executive director.
The programs are all free and open to everyone.
