uga.edu

The Hugh Hodgson School of Music is holding its first major concert of the 2017-18 season tonight at 8 pm. Professor Cynthia Johnston-Turner is the Director of bands. She says concert evokes fire, ice and climate change.

“Through music and through other arts, perhaps we can have these dialogues without fear of offending or getting angry or being polarized,” Johnson-Turner said. “We just doing it without talking, we’re just doing it through performance and through music.”

Admission to the concert is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the UGA Student Food Pantry
