UGA's Center for Leadership and Service Aiding Hurricane Victims

Salvation Army

The University of Georgia's Center for Leadership and Service is partnering with the Salvation Army in Macon to take supplies to hurricane victims. Organizers are asking for non-canned, nonperishable food items such as pasta and oats. They are also asking for hygiene items, with travel-sizes preferred.  Donations can be dropped out at the Center located in 201 in the Tate Student Center.

They are collecting items collecting through September 15th, then the items will be driven to the Macon facility to be placed on trucks heading to Texas. Director Jen Rebtschler says any items that cannot be sent to Hurricane victims will be given away locally either to the UGA food pantry, or the hygiene closet.
