ACCPD Working Officer-Involved Shooting, GBI Investigating

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is currently working a shooting involving an officer. The GBI is on the scene. Police say no officers were injured, there are no other suspects, and there is no threat to the general public. Spokesperson Epifanio Rodriguez says calls the department received about an active shooter in the West End area near Hawthorne Avenue are unfounded.
