Triple A Auto Club Group is advising motorists not to mix boos with booze this Halloween; and the company is offering some help.
Triple A wants drivers to avoid drinking and driving after attending Halloween parties Tuesday evening. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 40 percent of all fatal crashes on Halloween involve a drunk driver. The Auto Club urges drivers to plan ahead by choosing a designated driver.
For those that don’t, Triple A and Budweiser are making the Tow To Go program available. Drivers in Georgia and seven other states can call 855-2-TOW-2-GO or 855-286-9246 for a free ride and tow, through 6 am Wednesday November 1st.
The program is available to both AAA members and nonmembers.
