Legal Pop-Up Clinics in Access to Justice Initiative in Athens

The first in a series of legal pop-up clinics takes place this weekend. The Superior Court Judges of the Western Circuit in partnership with UGA Law school and Western Circuit Bar Association are launching the Access to Justice Initiative in December. The goal is to provide access to legal services and information for those who live in the community and need legal assistance.

Athens-Clarke County Superior Court Judge Regina Quick will hold the first of several Pop-Up Clinics from 9 am to 11 am Saturday, December 2nd at the Rocksprings Park Community Center in Athens.  Attorneys will provide short, individual consultations on topics including family law, adoption law, probate law, employment law, criminal law, and landlord-tenant law. A list of other resources will be provided for those seeking more help.

The Pop-Up Clinics will be held one Saturday a month at various locations around Athens through June. For more information, contact Judge Quick’s office at 706-310-3606, or the Athens-Clarke County Court Administrator at 706-613-3161.
