The Junior League of Athens is hosting its annual "Bargainza" event this week. The annual thrift sale is the main fundraiser for the organization.
Deanne Rosso is president of 2017-2018 Junior League.
"It is a large production. We are this year at the Athens arena, off of Commerce Boulevard," said Rosso. "It's a large indoor thrift sale. So we have donations from our members, from community members, from our sustaining members. Lots of people donate their gently used home goods, appliance, furniture. The public is invited to attend. We encourage anyone who wants to come, come by, take a look."
Bargainza is February 22nd through 24th. It costs $10 on Thursday which is the preview night from 6 to 8 pm, $5 Friday, also from 6 to 8 pm, and $3 on Saturday from 8 until noon. Proceeds go toward efforts to improve literacy in Athens.
This is the 28th year of "Bargainza."
