Wikimedia Commons

Two public meetings will be held Wednesday on the Clayton Street area infrastructure and streetscape project. They are being held in the Clayton Street corridor area that will undergo improvements beginning in 2018.

The meetings are drop-ins and no formal presentations are planned. Maps and drawings, updated timelines, and other information will be available. Staff from ACC’s SPLOST Office, Transportation & Public Works, and Public Information Office will be on hand to answer questions about the project.

The meetings are 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday in the Michael Brothers Building Mezzanine at 320 east Clayton Street.

The Clayton Street project work will include pavement/sidewalk removal, tree replacement, storm drain installation, pedestrian lighting installation, pavement/sidewalk replacement, and installation of streetscape amenities such as benches, bike racks, and planters.

For more information on the project, visit www.accgov.com/clayton or call the SPLOST Program Management Office at 706-613-3025.
