ACC Police Searching for Suspect in a Grocery Store Sexual Assault

Athens-Clarke County Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault in an area grocery store. Department spokesperson Epifanio Rodriguez has more on the incident.

“A white male between the ages of 19 and 23 years old entered the store and inappropriately touched a female who was inside the store,” according to Rodriguez.

 
He says they do have images of the man they believe responsible.
 
“We do have surveillance footage and we also have pictures of who we believe the suspect is," said Rodriguez. "As of right now, we're looking for that suspect and we releasing that information in hopes that the community can help us track down and identify who is responsible for this. ”

The suspect is described as having short dark hair that may be spiked in the front. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. 
 
Rodriguez says the victim was not injured.
