Books for Keeps Teaming Up With Rabbit Box to Host "A Life Well Read" Storytelling Event Wednesday

Books for Keeps

For the first time, the nonprofit Books for Keeps is joining forces with Rabbit Box to host “A Life Well Read” live storytelling event at the Foundry this week. Executive Director Leslie Hale, who is also one of the night’s storytellers, says it’s an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of books.

"We as an organization that gives books away in the community, are really excited about collaborating on a theme where people will be telling stories about how a book changed or shaped their lives or a specific reading experience," said Hale. "We're just really excited because it's just a great awareness raising opportunity. Along with just a really neat community event."

Books for Keeps gave away more than 80,000 last year and the organization hopes to top that this year.

The event is being held at the Foundry on Wednesday, March 7th. Doors open at 5 pm for dinner and the show starts at 7. Tickets are $7.
