The ACCPD is investigating a deadly hit-and run on Commerce Drive Tuesday night. According to a department release, at around 10 pm officers arrived on the scene near the GA 10 loop after a report of a person struck by a vehicle. They discovered 52-year old Kimberly Pierce unresponsive in the roadway. EMS personnel pronounced Pierce dead on the scene.
Witnesses describe the vehicle that struck Pierce as a 90’s model green Honda with tinted windows. The car’s front-end may have been damaged in the collision. Investigators say Pierce was hit while she was crossing Commerce Road from the Bulldog Inn. They believe there may be more witnesses to the incident. Police are also trying to get surveillance from nearby businesses.
