UGA Spring Commencement 2018

University of Georgia

More than 5,800 students are eligible to take part in this year’s spring Commencement at the University of Georgia. More than 1,258 graduate students qualified for the graduate ceremony in Stegeman Coliseum earlier today. Denise Spangler, dean of the College of Education delivered the address. Destiny McClain is one of the 45-hundred plus undergrads taking part in this evening’s ceremony in Sanford Stadium.

“It feels amazing; I can think back to my first year here at UGA, just seeing my growth over the past four years,” McClain said. “It’s truly such a happy moment for me and I hope that I was able to make my mother proud.”

The Terry College grad already has a job lined on the west coast.

“I’m graduating from the Terry College of Business with a degree in marketing and a certificate in entrepreneurship. I am moving to San Francisco after graduation, I’ll be working at LinkedIn in HR.”

UGA alumni and Georgia natives Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of multiplatinum trio Lady Antebellum will give the address.
