Positions Open on ACC Policy-Making Boards

Athens-Clarke resident interested in becoming more involved in community decisions can apply to serve on a diverse group of policy-making boards.

The ACC government is seeking qualified candidates to fill terms on several panels, they include: the library board, Athens Downtown Development Authority, Department of Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities, Division of Family and Children Services, the Georgia’s Innovation Corridor Joint Development Authority, the Hearings Board, the Historic Preservation Commission and the Vision Committee. There are 11 positions open on the eight boards.

Applicants must be Athens-Clarke County residents and registered to vote in Athens-Clarke County. The deadline for receiving applications is Friday, June 8. A separate application must be completed for each position.
