Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement Hosts Post-Election Party

The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement is hosting a post-election party at Hendershots Wednesday evening at 6 o’ clock. The event features a panel discussion followed by a questions and answer session.

According to a release from the organization, confirmed speakers include Mayor-Elect Kelly Girtz, incoming commissioners Mariah Parker and Russell Edwards for Districts 2 and 7 respectively, as well as District 3 Commissioner Melissa Link.

Democratic challenger for the 10th district US house seat, Tabitha Johnson-Green, is also expected. According to the release, the ACC commission will have three sitting black commissioners for the first time.
