An Athens man was fatally shot Monday night. The victim was identified by Athens-Clarke County police as 21-year-old Saheed Snow.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 500 block of East Carver Drive. Snow was discovered by officers in a parking lot near Apartment 577 with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses say that Snow had entered a car that was occupied by what appeared to be two Latino men. Snow was shot and pulled out by one of the car’s occupants.
One of the suspects fled on foot while the other left in the vehicle. Detectives have identified one of the suspects as 22-year-old David Rojas Garcia.
