UGA Baseball Player Will Proctor Arrested

Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia baseball pitcher Will Proctor is free on bond following his arrest on misdemeanor charges of possessing/using a fake ID and furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 years of age.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports the sophomore from Manhattan Beach, California, was processed at the Clarke County Jail early Tuesday and released after posting $3,500 in bonds. It was unknown if he's represented by an attorney.

Proctor's arrest came the day after he pitched in the NCAA baseball regional in Athens when Georgia was eliminated in a doubleheader sweep by Duke. Bulldogs coach Scott Stricklin says the university is aware of the incident.
Proctor appeared this season in 19 games, 18 in relief, going 3-2 with a 2.42 ERA with two saves, 13 walks and 26 strikeouts.
