Student Assessment Group, Accreditor Network Merge

A New Hampshire-based student assessment organization is merging with a Georgia-based accreditor and school improvement network to create a $120 million nonprofit with 500 employees to help teachers and students.

The organizations say the merger of Measured Progress in Dover, New Hampshire, and AdvancED in Alpharetta, Georgia, will serve at least 28 million students in more than 40,000 schools in the United States and 70 nations. It will maintain its offices, including one in Tempe, Arizona.

Measured Progress develops assessments for classrooms, districts, states, and collaboratives. AdvancED conducts reviews of pre-kindergarten through 12th grades and school systems for educators.
