John Becker, Director of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia since 2003, stepped down on Saturday. Under Becker’s supervision, the food bank has seen an increase in food distribution, the institution of a community garden for the food bank, and a $7 million capital campaign.
Richard Boone, a founder of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, will take the lead role in finding a replacement for Becker.
