National EMS Joins the Priority Ambulance Family of Companies

Prority Ambulance

National EMS is joining Priority Ambulance. The Conyers-based company provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance service in Athens-Clarke, Oconee, Morgan and Rockdale counties. Priority Ambulance is based in Knoxville, Tennessee and provides service around the nation. Priority has approximately 2,500 paramedics and EMTS and a fleet of about 400 vehicles. In addition to National, two other partners serving Georgia are in the Priority Ambulance family-Puckett EMS and Central EMS.

National EMS will continue to operate under the same name, and existing leadership will continue to lead the company.

National EMS has come under scrutiny recently by the political group Athens for Everyone. The organization is calling for an audit of the company’s response times.
