Teachers, state workers hear good news about health plans

With health premiums on the rise for most workers in the U.S., Georgia teachers and state employees can breathe a sigh of relief. Georgia's Department of Community Health announced last week that teachers and state employees would not see any increase in their health premiums for 2019.

Covering 650,000 Georgians, the State Health Benefit Plan is one of the largest insurers in the state. Some believe that the move to keep costs stable was politically significant. Read more
