Lyndon House Fall Exhibition Opens

The Lyndon House Arts Center is opening several shows this week.

Program Supervisor Didi Dunphy says Guest curator Rodrecas Davis, a UGA alum and Professor of Art at Grambling State University in Louisiana, is a guest curator for the Picturing the Black Fantastic Exhibit.  His work is also included in the Present and Accounted For: 1968 – 2018 exhibition.

“In addition, we have in the gallery a show of John Cleaveland’s “World War I landscapes opening, Lisa Freeman’s show entitled “So It Goes” is also opening, and in our Lounge Gallery is our “Emerging Artists” exhibits, which change quarterly. That is opening with a photo show focusing on our beloved activities “Tailgating” by MFA candidate photographer Shawn Campbell, Dunphy says.

The Opening Reception is tomorrow evening from 6 to 8 pm.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
