Police are offering a reward for information leading to the identification of a trio of armed robbery suspects.
According to a media release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, the same suspects appear to have committed two armed robberies Tuesday.
The first incident happened at the Golden Pantry on Barnett Shoals Road at approximately 1:24 am and the second robbery happened at Choo Choo on Gaines School Road at about 1:36 am. In both incidents, the suspects were armed with handguns and entered the businesses demanding cash from employees.
They were wearing bandanas covering their faces. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash from each location, the suspects fled.
Witnesses say they left the Choo Choo robbery in a gray Toyota Corolla, which investigators say was stolen from Cambridge Apartments off Barnett Shoals Road.
