Georgia Power Donates $50,000 to Assist Furloughed Workers

Georgia Power is helping to provide relief for Georgians impacted by the federal government shutdown. The Georgia Power Foundation has donated $50,000 to St. Vincent de Paul Georgia. The money is to be used to support furloughed and unpaid federal workers and contractors in the state.

Affected families can request assistance at gapowerassistancefund@svdpgeorgia.org.  

Each email request should include the following:

requestor’s name

contact information (address, email and phone number)

brief summary of situation

A St. Vincent de Paul caseworker will reach out within 24 working hours. St. Vincent de Paul operates four family support centers across north and middle Georgia.
