The Athens Cultural Affairs Commission has announced the artist selected for the upcoming Hot Corner Legacy Mural to be completed on the side of the Morton Building this June.
South Florida based muralist, Elio Mercado has gotten the nod out of more than 40 applicants from around the country.

The selection panel was comprised of community members with past or present ties to Hot Corner and its businesses.
Mercado has more than 5 years’ experience in worldwide public art and community mural projects
