Update: ACCPD Release Video of Finding Missing Baby

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department have released body cam footage of the moment they found a missing 11-month old in a stolen car February 10.

You can view the video below.

Original story:

Sunday, February 10, Athens-Clarke County Police issued a BOLO alert for Athens and surrounding counties after a car was stolen with a child inside.

The theft happened at Windy Hill Place in West Athens. The 22-year-old mother called the police after her car was stolen from her driveway with her 11-month old baby inside.

Shortly after releasing the BOLO, ACCPD found the stolen car in the parking lot of a shopping center on Epps Bridge Parkway, less than five minutes away from where the car was taken. The baby was still inside and did not appear to have any injuries.

This is still an active investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Carroll at 701-613-330, ext. 144.
