Georgia 'HIV hot spots' to receive prevention funding from White House

Four metro Atlanta counties are being targeted in a new White House-led HIV prevention initiative.

But experts say the epidemic extends throughout the state as well. Georgia leads the nation in new HIV infections, and experts point to several factors including lack of education, high poverty rates and access to healthcare as contributing to the spread of infection.
