Drug Arrests in Jackson County

Jackson County Sheriff's Office

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Arcade Police Department and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office arrested four men after finding drugs in a home on Carruth Road in Jefferson on Feb. 28th, according to a press release.

They searched the home after receiving complaints of illegal drug activity.

Jackson County authorities responded by going to this residence and asking to search for illegal narcotics. They authorities found three ounces of methamphetamine, one ounce of marijuana, scales and packing material along with $970. 

The street value of the illegal narcotics was $9,500.

Jaymon White, 32, was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Georgia Roughton

Christopher Roughton, 45, and Georgia Roughton, 51, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Ronald Smith, 50, was arrested on an outstanding felony probation warrant.

They all were taken to the Jackson County Detention Center.
