A severe shortage of type O blood has the Red Cross urging type O donors, and other eligible donors to give now.
HBO and the Red Cross are inviting Game of Thrones fans to Bleed for the Throne. The partnership is to celebrate the final season of the show.
Ronnika McFall with Red Cross Communications said this is the largest blood donation promotional effort by an entertainment company in the organization’s history.
“Fans who present to donate blood or platelets through March 17 will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of five trips to the season eight world premiere of Game of Thrones,” McFall said.
The Game of Thrones premiere is scheduled for April 14th.
