The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault case in which the victim was dropped off at a local hospital.
According to an ACCPD media release, the woman arrived shortly before 11 o’ clock Wednesday night with a gunshot wound to her upper torso.
Witnesses believe she was dropped off by her boyfriend, who then left the scene. Public Information Officer Geof Gilland confirms the boyfriend, 36-year old Larry Daniel Dorsey is a person of interest in the case.
