Suspects Wanted in Connection with Stolen Guns

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating the thefts of several guns from an area business. According to a media release from the department, officers responded to a burglary alarm at Athens Gun Club on Mill Center Boulevard around 4:40 Sunday morning. When they arrived, they that found a Jeep had been driven through the front door and was still inside. The 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported stolen the night before.

Police say one male drove the Jeep into the store and four others entered the business and stole multiple firearms. All five suspects left the scene in a newer white Audi with a sunroof. Anyone with information about the burglary to contact Det.
