Macon hospital to close onsite McDonald's

Following a complaint from a physicians’ advocacy group, Macon’s Medical Center Navicent Health has decided to close the McDonald’s restaurant operating onsite.

The move reflects a growing opposition to the presence of fast food locations on hospital campuses.

Yet, some Georgia hospitals are standing by their onsite chains, arguing that they provide more food options to patients' families. That's the topic this week on the Georgia Health Report.
