Athens BMW Drive for a Cause Benefits Cancer Support Center

Piedmont Athens Regional

Beginning Tuesday, June 18, Athens community members are invited to take a new BMW out for a spin at the BMW Drive for a Cause Test Drive Event. For every test drive, Athens BMW will donate $20 to the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support at Piedmont Athens Regional.

The center provides free services, including yoga, nutrition classes and counseling, for anyone affected by cancer, regardless of where they receive treatment.

“We recognize the need to support patients and their family members, rather than just treating the disease itself. The many services that the Loran Smith Center provides cancer patients and survivors in our community are free and open to anyone,” said Joel Siebentritt, manager of cancer support services at the Loran Smith Center. “Donation events like Drive for a Cause enable us to continue to provide these free services for our patients.”

In addition to raising funds, test drive participants will also receive a $1,000 credit toward the purchase of a new BMW.

“This event is a great opportunity to contribute to an important cause,” said Jeff Socha, general manager at Athens BMW.

The Test Drive Event will take place through Saturday, June 22, at Athens BMW. For more information services provided by the Loran Smith Center, visit their website.
