UGA Allots Extra Seating to Notre Dame Visitors in Saturday's Game

Associated Press

As the University of Georgia vs. Notre Dame game continues to be hyped up, the Athletic Department is preparing for a large crowd.

Notre Dame hosted UGA in 2017 and allotted Bulldog fans extra tickets. To reciprocate the hospitality, UGA has issued 8,000 tickets to visitors, 500 more than what is normally allotted.

"For the most part, it is standard operating procedures, but with 500 more people in the stadium, and we would also anticipate a higher turnout rate with teh students and normal fan base, everything is ramped up a little bit," Brook says.

The extra seats wil be in section 144.

To prepare for the expected crowd of 93,246, there will be extra staffing in all areas, ticket takers and security, Brooks says, although he doesn't expect the stadium to be too overcrowded.

"It's a chance for us to shine operationally," Brooks says. "Internally, we want to put on a good show as well from all the things we do from when you enter the stadium to how you're treated. Every inch of the way we want it to be a first-class experience."

ESPN's College GameDay will set up in Myers Quad and air at 9 a.m. The game will start at 8 p.m. Saturday.
