Applicants Needed for ACC Overview Commission

The Athens-Clarke County Grand Jury is seeking applicants for the Overview Committee. At least 21 members are needed for the 2020 body.

Each member appointed to the commission would serve a 12-month term which begins January 1, 2020.

Any registered voter in Clarke County is eligible for the commission.

The Overview Commission is responsible for conducting a review and evaluation of the operation of the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government at least once every 10 years

Applications are available online at www.accgov.com/overview,  as well as outside the Commission Chamber in City Hall, at the Athens-Clarke County Library at 2025 Baxter Street, in the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s Office on the third floor of the Courthouse at 325 East Washington Street, and at various locations in the community.

Applications are due by midnight on Monday, November 25.
