Georgia Department of Corrections via AP

The Supreme Court of Georgia today unanimously denied a request to halt the execution of Ray Jefferson Cromartie, who is scheduled to be executed on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, GA, for the 1994 murder of a store clerk, Richard Slysz in Thomasville.

The Court also denied Cromartie’s request to appeal the dismissal by the Butts County Superior Court of his second state habeas petition, in which he alleged the ineffective assistance of his trial lawyers.
