The Athens-Clarke County annual food drive Stuff-a-Bus is underway this week. The drive benefits the Athens Area Emergency Food bank.
Members of the community are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to help Athens-area families this holiday season.
Rachel Hopkins is the ACC Transit Marketing Coordinator.
“It’s exciting, we take one of our buses that we’ve decorated for the Parade of Lights and we stage it at different locations around town to make it easy for people to give,” Hopkins said. “Give the community an opportunity to come in their own neighborhood and donate nonperishable food items.”

The bus is parked at the library today and tomorrow for 11 o’ clock until 6 pm.
The most needed food items are pork and beans, canned tomatoes, spaghetti sauces, canned salmon, canned pasta meals and peanut butter.
