Jake Fromm Leaving UGA to Pursue NFL Dream

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm is turning pro. Fromm made the announcement that he is entering the NFL draft in a social media post Wednesday. he thanked the University of Georgia, Coach Kirby Smart, all the coaches, his teammates, fans and season ticket holders.

In his statement Fromm said “This process and decision has been unbelievably difficult, but though much prayer and counsel, I have decided that it is time for me to take on the next challenge in my life and pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL.”

The Warner Robins Junior has played more than 40 games for UGA. Fromm took over the starting position after former Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason suffered a knee injury. Eason, who went on to play for the Washington Huskies, had also declared for the draft this year. Four other Georgia players are also declaring for the draft this year, they are running back D’Andre Swift and offensive linemen Andrew Thomas, Isaiah Wilson and Solomon Kindley.
