This month, the Athens-Clarke Water Conservation Office is helping area residents conserve water and save money on their water bills.
The office is giving out free WaterSense labeled showerheads during the month of February.
According to a media release from the county, a WaterSense label means the product is at least 20% more water-efficient than the traditional counterpart and must undergo independent, third-party certification in order to earn that label.
The showerheads can be picked up at the following locations:
ACC Water Conservation Office 124 E. Hancock Ave, 2nd Floor M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Athens Hardware 1080 HWY US-29 M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Normal Hardware 1328 Prince Ave M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Sat, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
