Georgia Cases of COVID-19 Climb

More than 75-hundred people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Georgia. The Georgia Department of Pubic Health reports 7,558 cases as of this afternoon. 294 have died in the state while 1,393 remained hospitalized. Seventy-two cases have been confirmed in Clarke County, resulting in eight deaths.

Barrow County has 29 cases and three deaths, Oconee has 24 cases, no deaths. Jackson County, 18 cases, no deaths. Madison County has nine cases and one death. Oglethorpe County has one case and one death.

Fulton County has the highest number of cases with 1,053 and 32 deaths, Dougherty has 722 cases and 44 deaths.

60% of the cases are in people age 18 to 59, 35% in those 60 and older, the age is unknown in 4% of cases and those 17 and younger are reporting just one percent of cases.

53% people of those infected are female, 45% are male and the sex in not known in 2%.
