The University of Georgia’s Annual candlelight memorial will be rescheduled. The annual service to remember the UGA students, faculty and staff members who died since last April would have been acknowledged at the annual Georgia Remembers…a Candlelight Memorial at the UGA Chapel.
They will be recognized as part of the next ceremony in spring 2021. The date of that ceremony will be announced in January.
21 members of the UGA community died during the past year. This year’s memorial was suspended in light of the University System of Georgia’s guidance on COVID-19.
