Athens-Clarke County Library Announces Digital Preservation Series to Begin on June 11th

In an effort to help prevent losing personal files, the ACC Library announced on June 9th a series of online workshops. The first, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, and will cover preserving documents and text.
Following the first session, the Heritage Room will host similar sessions on helping to save photos on June 25th, Audio on July 9th, and Video on July 23rd. The sessions will all be held at 6:30pm, and will be free and only require an online registration. As for the content of the sessions, “Heritage Room staff will share a step-by-step guide for each file type, as well as best practices to ensure that your story is preserved throughout time.” Additionally, “a document with outlined steps, tools for conversion, and links to helpful resources will be shared at the time of each program.”
