Deaths from COVID-19 Reach 3K as Cases in Georgia Top 120-Thousand

The number of cases of coronavirus infections in the state has topped 120-thousand. According to the latest update from the Georgia Department of Public Health, the death toll has now surpassed three thousand and stands at 3,026.

In Athens-Clarke County, some 977 cases have been confirmed, while the number of deaths remains at 15. Barrow County has 645 cases and 27 deaths, Jackson 531 cases with 12 deaths, Madison has 179 cases and four deaths, the number of confirmed cases in Oconee County has risen to 243, with 13 deaths and in Oglethorpe County, there are 108 cases and seven deaths.

Statewide, Gwinnett County tops the list with the most cases at 11,691 and 185 deaths, while Fulton County leads Georgia in deaths from COVID-19 at 326 with 11,080 cases.
