The Athens-Clarke County Police Department and the Clarke County Coroner’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting that happened just before 5 o’ clock Tuesday evening at the Apex Chevron, located in the 400 block of North Avenue.
According to a release from Public Information Officer, Dr. Victoria Hunter, police have identified a person of interest. The name of the deceased is being withheld, pending notification of the next of kin.
