ACC Government

Owners of small businesses impacted by COVID-19 in Athens-Clarke County can begin applying for emergency grants and low-interest emergency loans next week.

They are funded through the ACC Government, the Federal CARES Act, the Joint Development Authority of Athens and Winterville and the Northeast Georgia Business Alliance.

The funds are targeted to small businesses physically located in Clarke County with 1-10 employees.

Applications for loans open at 8 am Tuesday, September 8th. The deadline is September 22nd.

Applications for grants also open September 8, but that deadline is September 30th. Visit www.accgov.com for more information.

The $1 million emergency Turntable Revolving Loan Program is funded through the ACCGov Mayor & Commission’s Resiliency Package, while the $1.6 million for emergency business grants is funded through the federal CARES Act.

The grant program is first-come, first-served for eligible businesses. More information, including eligibility criteria, is available at https://sites.google.com/view/jda-acc-winterville

Information about the Northeast Georgia Business Alliance’s grant program, including the application, is available online at www.negabusinessalliance.org.
