ACC Testing of Voting Equiptment Rescheduled

National Conference of State Legislatures

The Athens Clarke County logic and accuracy testing of voting equipment has been pushed back to next Tuesday.

Originally scheduled for today, the voting equipment testing will now begin on Tuesday, September 22nd at 11:00am in the Athens-Clarke County Facilities and Landscape Management building.

The logic and accuracy test is required by the state and designed to assess the new paper-based voting units, check-in system, and optical scan system for recording absentee ballots.

Once the machines are proven accurate, they will be stored in a secure location until the general election on November 3rd.

The public is encouraged to observe the testing while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Appointment times are available every half hour and can be scheduled at accgov.com/elections, or by calling 706-613-3150.
