Athens Creative Directory Invites Artists to Join Registry

University of Georgia Lamar Dodd School of Art

Athens Creatives are invited to join a digital registry aimed at providing them a place to connect with other artists, patrons, and members of the community. The ACC Economic Development Department teamed up with CREATE Athens, a division of Envision Athens, and others to make Athens Creatives Directory a reality. Erin Barger is Project Manager with Envision.

“The creative directory is the place for Athens creatives to lift their creative talents and to be found by people who are interested in commissioning artwork, and compensating creatives for the good work that they bring to the community.”

The directory was developed to serve the creative community during the pandemic and beyond. The service is free. Artists should include a description of their work, contact information, and an image when signing up.

“The goal is that every person who endeavors to make a living creating art, is able to do so with the support of opportunities like this one. The aim is really to be as inclusive as possible and make a space for everyone to profile what they do.”

The directory is seeking more creatives to participate. Those interested can join at Athens Creatives Directory.
